Counting Calories for some basic Nigerian Food.

IMG_1020

If there is one thing I have tried to avoid, it is training on how to count calories especially when it comes to Nigerian food. Well, after dealing with several clients, I’ve noticed that the reason why most people are not losing weight or not even showing interest is because they don’t know what to do. Some do not even know what to eat.

This past weekend was a busy one for me. I completed a 7 days worth of meal plans that included, 3 meals per day plus a snack for 10 clients (with macronutrients and calories for each meal accounted for and I made sure everything added up to their allowable intake). I wrote some recipes with their plans, some include jolloff rice, oiless efo riro, fried rice, goat stew, beans, etc…the calories in these meals were counted to a T. Each of these clients have different food preference and different daily caloric targets. I was blown away because I also learnt new things while working on these plans. This made me to want to share this with someone out there that don’t know how to reach out for help.

This is definitely going outside of the norm for me, so please do not keep this blog/video to yourself. Please share share share, someone out there would thank you for it.   I have included a video on how you can start basic calories calculations without stress. Please leave a comment below if you would like to specific things about food/nutrition or anything else. Did this help in any way, please let me know.
